Cold Calling Success Without "high-pressure" Tactics!

Learning cold calling without using any form of pressure or old school sales tactics requires a pretty radical shift in your thinking.

I was able to do this myself several years ago. After my initial several years selling like a typical "high-pressure" pit bullterrier sales person, I was burnt out (despite building a very successful printing business, by utilizing pressure techniques).

The problem I found with selling in a high pressure way, was the fact that I was always on the lookout for the next sales prospect, and believe me, every business that had open doors and wanted to promote themselves was a target (after all, all businesses need printing right?).

Looking back, how wrong was I?

I always thought along the lines of the ABC's of selling, and anyone in sales that has read any of the basic selling texts that it stands for "Always-Be-Closing!"

I hate to make it sound that blunt as ABC, but in fact that's the way many people still do sell, even when they say there's "no-pressure" in our sales techniques. But little do they know that pressure still exists, even if they don't want it to be present, or think they don't use it.

Sales pressure is the enemy of sales, it creates a silent blanket of "Lost Trust" in the sales process, and the once you've lost trust, it's very difficult to get it back. And you only get about 5 to 10 seconds when you first cold calling someone to establish trust and open them to being willing to speak with you.

Now there are some very effective ways to help people take down their defenses and really know that you mean what you say, because lets be honest, most people don't trust a stranger when they tell them "I'm not calling to sell you anything!"

What would you think, if a stranger said that to you?

So, the real problem here you need to first overcome is creating a space where ther person your contacting feels no pressure. And as I found out first hand, this can be done and extremely fast.

I was lucky enough to have found a program that took the pressure completely out, which firstly worked on my mindset around "needing the sales" and wanting to chase every single person who showed the least bit interest.

Once I was able to clear out my mind of the toxins that the old school sales trainers had taught me from the many books, CD's and video's I had studied, I was able to begin to work on the wording when I was cold calling.

Wording is one of the biggest things that sales people want when learning how to sell, but little do they know, it doesn't matter how good the words are, if you don't have a different mindset that allows you to build trust.

And it can sometimes seem contradictory to think, I shouldn't have any inkling of wanting to "make the sale" or "push things forward," espescially when your cold calling specifically to make sales, so you can eat that week.

But believe me, if you take on board the 7 Free Lessons taught at Unlock The Sales Game you'll begin to understand how this can permanently "destroy" your credibility with your prospects forever.

My advice to you if your in any form of sales, not just cold calling, is to find a range of websites and resources that educated you more thoroughly (some even offer free courses) and even allow you to leave your selling challenge at the same time, so you can talk to a live sales coach and dissect your existing sales pitch, that alone could be worth thousands to you.

And as I stated earlier, the "pressure free" approach is one that takes time to unwind from, but I want you to see that for yourself and how good you feel after you conquer it, becuase as I'm a stranger and I don't know your situation or what programs would be a fit for you... So please explore it a little further and weigh it up for yourself, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
